چکیده
Wastewater sources contain enormous amounts of nutrients for plant growth. This study aimed to define the metal accumulation in goosefoot (Chenopodium album L.) wastewater use agricultural irrigation and evaluate risks this human health. The present research was performed field conditions Khushab, Pakistan. Cd, Cu, Cr, Fe, Zn, Ni, Mn concentrations were determined with analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer-AAS. Heavy samples irrigated groundwater (GWI), canal water (CWI) sugar mill (MWI) ranged from 0.84 1.08, 0.55 0.78, 0.23 0.70, 2.09 5.56, 2.84 13.53, 0.53 1.13 0.32 0.39 mg/kg Mn, respectively. According statistical analyses, applications had a non-significant effect on Zn C. collected three sites, significant Ni (p>0.05). results also showed that health risk index value cadmium higher than 1. these results, long-term consumption grown area may cause an Cd body diseases many tissues organs.

The present study was carried out to assess the level of Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu, Cr, and Ni in soil and edible portion of green leafy vegetables, grown in soil irrigated with wastewater near to katihar town and impact on health of residents of the study area. Results revealed that concentration of Pb, Zn, Cu, and Ni in some agricultural fields and Cd in all fields exceeded the normal soil value but low...
متن کاملMorphophysiological traits and atrazine sensitivity in Chenopodium album L.
BACKGROUND A Chenopodium album L. biotype surviving in atrazine-treated Serbian corn fields (VC) was compared against atrazine-susceptible (S) and atrazine-resistant (R) standards. RESULTS Atrazine (2 kg ha(-1)) killed S and VC shoot biomass 15 days after treatment (DAT), but R was only suppressed by 42% and survived 8 kg ha(-1). Atrazine at 2 kg ha(-1) only inhibited VC height by 60% as agai...
متن کاملHeavy metal accumulation and health risk assessment in wastewater-irrigated urban vegetable farming sites of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Background: Wastewater irrigation for vegetable production is a highly prevalent practice in Addis Ababa and a number of articles have been published on wastewater-irrigated soils and vegetables contaminated with heavy metals. However, to the best of our knowledge, an insight into assessment of human health risks associated with the consumption of vegetable crops grown on wastewater-irrigated s...
متن کاملNutrient and heavy metal content of rapeseed (Brassica napus) irrigated with treated wastewater
Field trials were conducted in winter season in two sites located about 20km north east of Cairo; Gabal Asfar farm (fertile soil) and Berka site (virgin soil). The trials aimed to evaluate the impact of rapeseed irrigation methods with secondary treated wastewater on yield ,quality trace elements and heavy metal content. The results clearly showed that rapeseed crop was not suited to the virgin ...

Background: Due to environmental contamination in recent years, contamination of food chain by heavy metals is not far-fetched. The purpose of this study is to determine heavy metals in soybeans cultivated in Iran to monitor the food chemical contaminants. Methods: To assess metal contamination, four varieties (Sahar, Katool, Williams, and M7) of soybean cultivated in Iran, were collected. Met...
